Stonebranch Online 2021: Week 3 Highlights

Week three of Stonebranch Online 2021, our annual virtual education forum, was filled with customer stories. In fact, the live audience had a chance to hear from two industry powerhouses and how they are currently using Universal Automation Center to solve both automated IT and business processes. Read on to capture some of the knowledge they shared during their respective sessions.
Session 1: A CIO’s POV: Automating Operations at Makedonski Telekom
Miroslav Jovanović, the Chief Technology Information Officer of Makedonski Telekom, which is part of Deutsche Telekom Group, kicked off the first event for the week. He shared why he made the strategic decision to leverage Stonebranch to run and automate IT operations via a mix of Universal Automation Center (UAC) and managed services.

Sebastiano Mion, VP of Technology Enabled Services at Stonebranch, joined Mr. Jovanović to further outline some examples of how UAC is being used to automate and orchestrate telecom billing workflows.

Session 2: BPs Cloud-First Approach with SaaS-Based Workload Automation
The second session of the week saw Massimo Leoni, IT&S Integration and Automation Portfolio Owner at BP, discussed how BP made a strategic decision to transform form an international oil company into an integrated energy company. In order to do that, they decided to go through a digital transformation, which included a cloud-first approach. Mr. Leoni went on to share the benefits of using a SaaS-based workload automation solution:

To further the discussion, Mr. Leoni explained how the UAC helps BP manage enterprise scheduling.
