Stonebranch Feature
Event-Driven Automation
Create real-time automated workflows based on system events. Quickly make informed decisions, enhance system performance, and avoid the pitfalls of outdated batch processing methods.
Run in Real-Time with Event-Driven Automation
Event-Driven Automation, a feature within The Stonebranch Universal Automation Center (UAC), represents a significant evolution from traditional batch processing, offering immediate task execution and workflows that are triggered by specific system events — not constrained by schedules.
Event-driven automation is a powerful approach that uses dynamic triggers and monitors to help you create workflows that run in real-time - while removing manual effort. UAC offers the flexibility to automate workflows with both time-based and event-driven methodologies.
Connect to and Automate Any Application or Infrastructure with Agents, APIs, and Webhooks
Run workflows in real-time with any application or infrastructure across your entire hybrid IT environment. Below are common ways within UAC to monitor for and trigger automated workflows based on system events.
- APIs - Connection for two-way communication between applications or systems. Enable data sharing, file transfers, and cross-application automations. APIs can be set up to both listen for events and trigger automated workflows based on event-driven triggers.
- Agents - Often for applications that live on-premises, agents are used when an application does not have API or Webhook capabilities. Agents can be set to both listen for and trigger applications based on system events.
- Webhooks - When a specific event happens in one system, the webhook sends an automated call to another. This approach removes the need for polling APIs, which saves compute and API polling costs.
